I’ve been riding mountain bikes for 35 years and this is by far the best fitting and ventilated helmet I’ve ever owned, including those that retail for twice the price from Giro, Specialized, Fox, and Kali. I like it so much, I bought a second one to store away until the first one wears out.

I have a large head, but most L-X-LARGE helmets are too big/bulky requiring me to max out the ratchet adjustment. This Protera only requires a couple clicks before it snugs up.

The adjustment mechanism does appear to be more fragile than other designs, so I picked up a couple of replacements just in case something breaks. I do like that they are easily replaced.

One thing that could be improved on is the matte coating, which is easily scratched, revealing glossy plastic underneath. Seems like just rolling with a gloss finish would have been more durable.

5 stars for fit, ventilation, visor, and shell design (it doesn’t look goofy like most X-LARGE sized helmets) .

I love my new Rudy sunglasses for everyday use. They fit a small face just as advertised. They’re a great color and are super lightweight.

Great fit and adjustability

This is my 2nd Rydon frame and multiple replacement lenses! I love the versatility, quality, and fit of these Rydon frames! I have since given away my other brand name sunglasses! Highly recommended!

I do a lot of EMTB in Mammoth Lakes and there are loads of tall trees. Light comes and goes and with the Defender's the lenses changes so my visibility is always good. Something I think is important when riding.

This is my second helmet from Rudy Project. It fits well and has held up great. And it looks pretty good too.

Picked up my first Rudy Project helmet to rotate with my other helmet. Went with the Nytron to mix it up and be different. Have had multiple compliments on in at the group rides. Helmet is comfortable and has good adjustment. Vents have great airflow at speed. Like the difference look. Would like to add a Wing helmet at a later date. Definitely happy with my purchase.

My son has a high RX and to be able to order his prescription in an "in direct lens" is just the best. He plays baseball and to get him a transmission lens to go from clear to a color to look like shades made him ecstatic to be able to fit right in with his teammates. He is 7 with a small nose so the adjustability these frames offer on the ears and nose is everything we needed from hats to helmets and everyday wear!

Just a couple weeks in with these, but they’ve been great! They fit comfortably with no movement while running or biking, the clarity is excellent, and the photochromic lenses adjusted quickly to shifting lighting conditions. Good ventilation and no fogging while active. Laser crimson is a great shade for everyday outdoor use. I haven’t put the side protectors/google/straps to use yet, but will definitely need them come winter.

The Rydon sunglasses are great. I have several lenses that I change to depending on the sport. I use them for tennis and golf with the golf lenses and skiing, biking, sailing and paddle boarding with the lenses that reduce glare (polar 3x if I remember correctly). I have replaced the golf lense 2 times over approximately 18 years. I would highly recommend them! I also have a pair of gld frame aviator style that I love and worn for years but the are discontinued which is unfortunate for I would buy another pair😊 The custome service is excellent with great follow up too!

My optician recommended Rudy Project's Sydus. Loved the first one so much I bought a second pair a week later! Love these unique frames and lenses. The docking clip-ons are perfect for me since I have a strong prescription. Fantastic fit. Easily adjustable. Bravo to Rudy project! And thank you!

I saw this case on a Rudy Zoom call and wanted it but it seemed so big and bulky, but then I wanted it because of that reason too, maybe I could fit more stuff in it than just my WingDream helmet….like maybe glasses, gloves, a hat, etc. Maybe it could be a carry case for whatever I might need for a low profile training ride.
Well, in reality it’s big, but not that big. Just enough to fit the WingDream and maybe a few other small odds and ends, but by no means is it ridiculously huge.
The quality is top notch, its design was well thought out and engineered and it does what it’s supposed to do…protect the helmet.
