Spare lenses for Defender sunglasses
Note - Bumpers not included
Used the Laser Red ImpactX photochromic lenses and They do work quite well. I notice that It usually takes 10 seconds for the lenses to fully adapt to light changes so keep that in mind. I would like it if Rudy offered more color choices but no complaints on the Quality!
I have four Oakley competition models, however I find myself turning back to the Defender over and over again because the lens is perfect for low light to bright sunlight. Since I start most of my rides at sunrise and continue through the morning I need a flexible performance based sunglass. The Defender delivers and has now for almost two years.
I just wore the COLOR IMPACTX-2 PHOTOCHROMIC CLEAR TO LASER BLACK lenses for a Triathlon and they were useless. I started my ride in low light at 8 am and they were fully dark throughout the whole ride and stayed fogged up the entire time. I ended up having to ride the last 45 miles with out glasses because I couldn't see the road or other riders. I didn't even bother bringing them on the run and finished the race with out glasses at all. I'm sure they are a good fit for some but they really let me down when I needed them.
I’ve been using this since last four months. I previously used their Guardyan for nearly two years. This is top especially the lens. The protective sponge wears out after a while but the lens remains as it is. I’m using it for my motorcycle (Indian Chief Dark Horse) as I can’t use full face helmet for some reasons. Those who use open face helmets looking for riding glasses, these are the best, undoubtedly!
My friend bought these not too long ago. I was surprised about how well they fit and how well they looked but also covered your eyes. I am stoked to buy ones soon
The vision out of the visor is amazing. I really like the ease of just popping on the helmet and not messing with the visor in transition. I can use this helmet in all my draft legal races as well.
