I purchased the pacific blue matte frame with black photochromic Impact 2 lenses. The frame and lenses are fine. Where I'm not sold is the side coverage, and I am on the fence about keeping them. I'm only 5', with a 21.5" circumference head. My nose bridge does stick out pretty far, so most glasses have to sit far forward of my eye sockets. The angle of the wrap on the frame is good, but the lenses just don't seem to go far enough back on the sides. The photo shows how much of my eye socket is still exposed. I live in an area with a lot of wind, and having 40mph sustained winds with debris coming at me from the side on a run isn't fun. They are better than standard glasses for protection, but aren't enough to make me fall in love with them. Add the cost of the prescription inserts I'll need to buy and well... it's hard to call this a 5-star product, at least for someone with my head shape. Maybe there's another style that will fit better, but it's hard to tell just how far back the lenses go.
Hi Amy! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and providing such thorough feedback. We truly appreciate it. We understand your concern regarding the side coverage and we recommend adjusting the nose piece to allow the frame to sit closer to your face, which should provide more coverage on the sides. If you've already tried this and it's still not working, we suggest trying our new Astral Sphere shield, which offers deeper side coverage and allows for prescription inserts directly in the lenses. We're here to work with you and find the best solution. Thank you for considering Rydon and we hope to make your experience a 5-star one.
Just replaced my Sterling helmet with this one. Can’t be happier. I’ve had 3 Sterling helmets over the years and it was time to upgrade. Looks great and light weight. Feels faster. The only thing is that I wish it had the mesh net lining to keep the bugs, bees and pebbles out. The fit is good.
This one seems to be much better than the metal one, so we'll see what happens. I bought two metal ones, and both rusted. A HORRIBLE experience, $170 wasted. I previously wrote a review, and Mr. Bernardo called customer service. I've been sending all the information and photos for two months, and no one has responded. Why? I don't know, but I think I'll consider another brand in the future.
The Nytron is very comfortable and keeps my head cool for an aero road helmet. Have ridden it in six criteriums so far; it cuts through the air and I can't tell I'm wearing a helmet. It's stylish as well. Another great product by Rudy Project.
I love the feel of the helmet! Extra light and comfortable. There is a beautiful sleek look that is better in person. I am looking forward to wear this helmet on race day.
Having just started competitively shooting again (after 6 years of not) i quickly found I needed to improve my eye protection and having searched around found the Rudy solution
I ordered the Sirius RX Frame with the Trivex RX and coatings with the orange lens color and I love them and have had many positive comments from people in the club
I bought this Rydon model sunglasses so I can use my optical dock 2 as my previous Rydon frame was broken. I really like Rudy Project modular design as I really can make it my own.
I usually wear glasses with no rim at the top but I got these because of a sale. I have been wearing them while riding in FL and am very happy with the fit and look. Great glasses!
I've used Rydons for many years of vigorous activity. Great fit for my large head.
Love these- so glad to add them to my Rudy collection- great visibility- great comfort. - no fogging up! Ask Santa to add them to your stocking (and yes that’s a Rudy helmet of course under my Santa hat!! 🌲💚❤️
Had a high speed crash and hit my head pretty good. Rudy Egos helmet was destroyed but my head was perfectly fine. Thank you Rudy Project for making a high quality helmet. Love this helmet the fit is so comfortable and it looks really good too!
Great fit for my narrow face and able to customize the distance from my cheeks with the adjustable nosepad. Photochromic lenses are fantastic, as my long distance runs start before the break of dawn and last thru the morning sunrise. More comfortable and higher quality than my OLD Oakleys and highly recommended!
The Rudy Project Nytron helmet is an excellent choice in all conditions and types of riding. The combination of optimal airflow, aerodynamics, and lightweight comfort are definitely winning feature for cyclists, especially those who spend long hours on the road. The added focus on safety is a huge plus, particularly for those riding in traffic-heavy environments or encountering unwanted road hazards. It is designed with both performance and comfort in mind, which is key for recreational riders, or those training and racing.
I recently used the Rudy Project - Wing Helmet during the Ironman 70.3 in Goa, and it truly impressed me. Right from the start, the helmet’s sleek design caught my attention, giving off a professional, aerodynamic look. It’s lightweight and fit comfortably, which was important for a long event like this. Despite wearing it for hours, I didn’t feel any discomfort, which speaks to its well-thought-out design and quality materials.
In terms of performance, this helmet delivered on its promise. The shape is crafted to reduce wind resistance, helping me maintain speed with less effort. Even though it’s built for aerodynamics, I was pleasantly surprised by the ventilation. It kept me cool enough despite Goa’s heat and humidity, though it can feel a bit warm on extremely hot days.
The helmet also comes with a clear visor that provides great visibility and shields your eyes from harsh sunlight. It’s easy to adjust or remove, making it versatile depending on personal preference. Overall, the Rudy Project - Wing Helmet is an investment, but for anyone serious about cycling or triathlons, it’s a fantastic choice that combines style, comfort, and performance.
The Strym Z Bike Helmet is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a lightweight, comfortable, and affordable helmet. It’s easy to wear for long rides without feeling heavy, and the fit is super adjustable, so it stays snug without being uncomfortable.
One of the best things about it is the great airflow—the vents keep your head cool even on hot days or during intense rides. Plus, it's reasonably priced, offering high-end features without the steep cost.
Overall, it’s a great value for cyclists who want comfort and performance without breaking the bank.
I am right between sizes, and I have purchased 2 of the wings. 1 large and 1 small. The small is harder to get on in T1 but the large was tougher to keep still, it kept wanting to rotate down on my forehead.
I love the visor. The magnets allow you to lift the visor with one hand and snap onto the top of the helmet. Visibility is pretty clear with great peripheral. I purchased the red Lense and use it 99% of the time.
Ventilation is on par for a TT helmet.
This is a great, fast helmet that doesn't penalize you if you can't hold the perfect position.
I have been in withdrawal without my keyblade glasses, but ordering a new temple nut to replace the one I lost has me happy again. :)
The Nytron is the latest and greatest bike helmet to give you great aero and cooling benefits! Love the styling, too. Perfect helmet for my first Ironman 70.3 a few days ago!
Took this bad boy (Rebel Helmet) out for a spin last weekend 85 miles on the hottest day of summer and it felt great! The wind flows through the helmet keeping your head cool. I love it so much that I’m buying another one in a different color to rotate. I’ve never bought 2 of the same helmets my life until I tried the Rebel!
Have ridden in my Rebel for the past two weeks and love it. It looks sleek and feels like nothing is on my head. I went with the white as that is the style nowadays and it stands above others with the design and carbon fiber details. After seeing the Bahrain Victorious Team wear them in the Tour I knew it must be mine! I was worried about the "Eyewear Ports" being in the back of the helmet where the worry of my Kelion's flying off is there.. but.. they are locked in and I have zero worries. They slide in and out super easy (with one had while riding) as Rudy Project has made the grooves smooth but they also almost click into place (both upside down and right side up). I get comments on how they fit perfectly in the back instead of the front - different is always nice. I took the bug net out as I have a huge head and I lose some vertical space with the netting but the extra padding that comes with goes in easily and it fits with no issue. The "Fidlock" is awesome once you get use to it. They have it on the Egos so I already had it down but it is odd now to go back to my Nytron that has the standard clip. The 5 Star rating from Virginia Tech is a HUGE plus too, that on top of everything else above is a reason to get the Rebel.
