The lens quality/clarity cannot be overstated. That's a Run Project hallmark. Here's a few details that set the Cutline apart: The nosepiece is the most comfortable I've encountered yet. It is highly adjustable, including being able to set the lenses a bit farther from your eyes to increase ventilation and/or avoid long eyelashes. The curvature the lens is spot on - brilliantly clear optics, close to the face at brow and cheekbone, but far enough from the eye to avoid eyelashes and ensure ventilation. Temples are grippy and easily adjustable for fit and helmet interface. The Cutlines combine well with the ProTerra MTB helmet. That's why I initially bought them and they perform well on the bike - on the road and in the woods. The field of vision is ideal for cycling. Even with upper bumpers on, they do not interfere with vision when low on the drops. The Cutlines are light and secure enough to be excellent running glasses as well. They are very light, especially considering the coverage. They are super comfortable. I've used them Nordic skiing and Alpine Touring as well, both in a variety of conditions. The only time they've ever fogged up was during an uphill stop while skinning in moderate snow. They cleared as soon as I faced the wind and started moving again. They've never fogged up while underway in any condition. I have a photochromic lens, so don't swap lenses frequently, but the mechanism is smooth, simple, and reliable. The simplicity gives me confidence in its durability, but only time will tell there. That said, RP has proven quite durable in the past.
bottom line: Highly recommend for anyone seeking a full coverage (big) shield. Light. Secure. Adjustable fit. Excellent lens clarity/quality.
This is my first pair of cycling glasses and I'm impressed. Build quality is great and the adjustability was unexpected so I was pleasantly surprised. I usually use a regular pair of sunglasses and end up with teary eyes when my pace gets faster. These glasses should solve that problem for me.
I've typically owned oakleys except for my Rudy's I had maybe 15 yrs ago. After purchasing the Cutlines, I dont know why I ever switched. They just fit good, have a full lens that is perfect for riding, and the transition lenses make it so I dont ever have to choose light or dark and be stuck with the wrong tint. One pair of glasses/lenses for all day. The field of vision is amazing. The perfect match.
