AERODYNAMIC BENEFITS
The result of two years of development and numerous indoor and outdoor tests, the Wingdream takes the studies of aerodynamics applied to cycling helmets to a new level, improving the management of turbulence at the athlete's back, as well as its air penetration coefficient. Wingdream's unique shape directs the airflow towards the athlete's shoulders, enhancing your aerodynamics.
Wind tunnel tests results show a massive energy savings of almost 10 watts which translates to about four seconds saved every 10 kilometers!
"The world of helmet development is similar to Formula One: it requires engineering creativity, 3D studies, prototypes, wind tunnel tests, and athlete testing. There is a lot of research behind a product like this, which is subjected to continuous verification by the UCI and certification bodies. And, of course, there are significant economic investments. Many models currently available on the market do not feature holes. Both Wing and Wingdream, however, have central holes to ventilate the cranial cap area. Our challenge was precisely to create a helmet that allowed maximum aerodynamic savings, but at the same time was also cool & comfortable. Managing head temperature is crucial: cyclists push at speeds over 45 km/h for 40 minutes during a time trial, triathletes even longer. The advantages of aerodynamic penetration are quickly nullified if there is excessive head heating."

Watch as John Rutland, a competitive triathlete, finds out which aero helmet is fastest for him. We aero test 10 of the top aero helmets against one another to see which is most aero, most comfortable, and which he ultimately chooses.
"If you are not going to test…then just go buy the Wingdream."

For maximum aerodynamic performance, always wear your Wingdream helmet with the magnetic visor attached. The helmet and shield were engineered as an integrated system, and removing the visor disrupts the airflow, creating drag and reducing the aerodynamic benefits built into the design.
The Wingdream has been designed to properly function and provide massive aero advantages over other chrono helmets in both flat and upright body positions.
Yes, all of our our Wingdream aero helmets come with a multilaser orange shield in the box.
Yes, the Wingdream was designed to allow plenty of room for prescription eyewear to be used while wearing the helmet. There is plenty of clearance from your face to the shield to allow for this.
It's possible, although highly unlikely. We've tested the helmet on so many athletes in both hot and cold temperatures with low to high humidity and the results show that in the large majority of these situations, the lens remained fog-free. The design of the Wingdream helmet handles this by allowing plenty of airflow clearange between the shield and a riders face. In the rare instance of fog, we recommend adjusting the helmet to sit the shield further from your face by sliding the retention strap forward (or backward) to accomplish a change in the shields location.
