Started wearing your glasses when racing criteriums for a team in the United States.
It wasn't only because you were a sponsor, the lenses were and still are in my opinion the best.
The clarity has always been spot on.
The range of transition is greater than all the competition that I have researched.
They do tend to ' lock up ' when left in my helmet and a sliver of sunshine gets in and darkens just a small spot. Takes a hot minute to even out again .
My only nagging complaint is that replacement lenses just are not readily available. Three different models.
There are companies making some replacements but not up to par.
Not wanting to think you are playing us consumers by ending availability there by steering us to buy a new model with same features.
They are good, but they do scratch eventually.
Unfortunately, the replacement lenses were much darker than my original ones.
I got these lenses to switch out... let's be honest, mostly for matching my kits. Super easy pop in and out. Great lenses, love the transition for lighting too.
Got it the week be IM CHATTANOOGA and had it dialed in after one ride. It was only mid-80's out, but the vent worked well.
It is wide, and the air flows really good, out of the all aero helmets Rudy has, this is the best.
Now the strap isn't the best to lock without looking at it, I wish I could change it.
The way my head is, I can't fit it all the way inside the helmet, I was praying my entire Ironman race that I would not crash because I didn't feel safe with the way the helmet fits- it is not wide enough- , and it is very strange since I always loved the Rudy helmets since they fit incredible for me.
To spin the **** is extremely hard almost impossible.
I wish it would come with other shields color or a case protector.
I wore this helmet in IM Madison and was so aero fast on the downhills the wind tunnel around my skull just propelled me forward and I took 3rd place in my age group!! Thankyou Rudy Project for rushing the Nytron helmet to me for race Day!!
