Rudy Project’s Performance X Mask by BOCO Gear is designed for performance and high output activities, but it is also a great choice for everyday wear. Consisting of two layers of durable knit performance fabric, the internal layer features a slit that can hold a filter for additional protection. The soft elastic is sewn to both the top and bottom of the mask for a secure fit over the ears. These masks cover the mouth and nose comfortably.
The CDC recommends wearing face coverings to help slow the spread of the virus. Read the article here. They also recommend rotating between a few masks so that you can wash and lay flat to dry after each outing. Be safe and stay healthy!
For health and safety reasons, please note that facemasks are final sale. No refunds or exchanges accepted.
Please note that this is a non-medical grade mask and does not meet OSHA standards for PPE (Personal Protective equipment). You can buy these great masks for your use knowing that people on the front line are not being denied.
I bought two, to try them out as possible replacements for lost ones. My wife and I are average size. The masks are the most comfortable we've owned, so I am back on the site to get a couple more - to maybe get us through the rest of the pandemic. They fit well around the nose and are very light weight and cool - even after I slid in an anti-bacterial sheet. Unfortunately, they do not keep my glasses from steaming unless I am on my bike or in the wind, but then, sadly, neither do any of the other masks I have had.
Very small for adult, way too tight. Would be great if they were adjustable.
Got a few of these for the family. Great fitting for adults, but a little large on our 14 yo. The material is very comfortable, and the design keeps the mask away from your mouth. It's also nice to have the option of inserting a filter. These are a great buy to get you through the pandemic!
I used it the first time at 66 miles Bike-a-thon in Philly. They were comfortable, covered lots of my face and super stylish.
I recently had a horrific accident where I went entirely over the handlebars, landing directly on my head and the left side of my body.
The impact was severe enough that I broke my collarbone in two places and fractured a couple of ribs. However, despite my head bouncing off the pavement twice, I walked away with absolutely zero head or neck injuries. No concussion, no trauma, nothing. The helmet took the entire force of the blow so my brain didn't have to. Looking at the damage to the helmet, it’s clear that it did exactly what it was engineered to do.
I do a lot of EMTB in Mammoth Lakes and there are loads of tall trees. Light comes and goes and with the Defender's the lenses changes so my visibility is always good. Something I think is important when riding.
