For those of use aging cyclist the reader feature of the Rydon lens is a perfect solution. I have 2 pair, highly recommend
I'll pile on the request many folks have had here. The small, central, bifocal area on these is perfect for riding. It doesn't mess with your peripheral vision at all.
However, the lenses are only good for one light condition at a time, so, not too many rides they can be used for. Dissapointing to have these and have to leave them at home and go back to the slightly blurry screen.
I've worn Rudy Readers for several years now but recently had to order a set of clear readers as the smokey gray ones have not been available for quite some time. I hope Rudy decides to restock.
I did a test Feb 5 in the A2 wind tunnel in Mooresville, NC. I tested the Wingdream on my Argon TT bike vs my four year old Giro Aerohead. The test was a wash, no advantage for either helmet. Obviously I was hoping to get quicker with the Wingdream. I’m a M75 USAC racer and have raced over 20 seasons winning numerous local TTs for my age group and several National Senior Games Golds. I’ll try the Wingdream in a couple early season races as I believe my vision is better but I don’t believe it has an aero advantage based on the tunnel test results.
Had a skating crash yesterday and landed hard on the back of my head. The RSRmicro straps broke free and cushioned my head so I got a goose egg on my head but no concussion! I am ordering a new one so I can get back to practice.
Mine are brown frames with brown-green lenses. They remind me of the Spinair with a hint of aviator. Lightweight. Many compliments!
