ImpactX® Photochromic Lenses

ImpactX® lenses are photochromic. This means they get dark from low to high light transmission within few seconds and reaching a custom color from an initial clear state. They enhance contrast, improve visual acuity and depth perception. ImpactX® lenses are 16% lighter than CR-39 and 10% lighter than polycarbonate; they have lower internal stress and chromatic dispersion than polycarbonate, resulting in sharper images, higher definition, reduces “rainbowing”, and more visual comfort.

I forget I have them on they are so lightweight. The photochromic lenses change perfectly to whatever environment I am in.
I have worn them for years but lost my last pair over a year ago. Tried many different brands and none compare. Ecstatic to have them again.
I am a multi-sport athlete and wear these for everything except swimming!

Finally a pair of transition lenses that actually transition

I opted for the slim black gloss with ImpactX Photochromic 2 Black lenses to use for trail and road running. I've tried a few other brands with transition lenses, but found them to adjust very little unlike these which quickly go from clear to dark based on the lighting conditions. The slim is a perfect fit and still provides full coverage. I've also found them to be very fog resistant even though they have less vents than the Propulse. These weren't inexpensive, but you get what you pay for and these are top notch! Highly recommend!

Amazing glasses

I have been trying out multiple glasses from Rudy and so far my favorite are the traylx.
They fit perfect, no fogging up and very durable. I have multiple different lenses which all work great and stored in a handy case provided by Rudy. I highly recommend the Rudy lineup.

Could use more side coverage

I purchased the pacific blue matte frame with black photochromic Impact 2 lenses. The frame and lenses are fine. Where I'm not sold is the side coverage, and I am on the fence about keeping them. I'm only 5', with a 21.5" circumference head. My nose bridge does stick out pretty far, so most glasses have to sit far forward of my eye sockets. The angle of the wrap on the frame is good, but the lenses just don't seem to go far enough back on the sides. The photo shows how much of my eye socket is still exposed. I live in an area with a lot of wind, and having 40mph sustained winds with debris coming at me from the side on a run isn't fun. They are better than standard glasses for protection, but aren't enough to make me fall in love with them. Add the cost of the prescription inserts I'll need to buy and well... it's hard to call this a 5-star product, at least for someone with my head shape. Maybe there's another style that will fit better, but it's hard to tell just how far back the lenses go.

Light weight and good looking

Just replaced my Sterling helmet with this one. Can’t be happier. I’ve had 3 Sterling helmets over the years and it was time to upgrade. Looks great and light weight. Feels faster. The only thing is that I wish it had the mesh net lining to keep the bugs, bees and pebbles out. The fit is good.
