I was trying to repair my Rydons, the local Rudy dealer didn't come through. I found out that I could order parts directly, and did the DIY successfully.

I shouldn't have to replace the nut at the first place
I purchased my Rydon in 2021, but I noticed the nut on the right was missing. This is my second pair from Rudy Project, but the first time I have to purchase the replacement nut.
I only wear it for running, so I don't understand why the nut would came out. It didn't happen to my first pair and it never happen to my other glasses. I am guessing that it has to do with the design of the nut, which has shallow threads, or it could be bad quality control.
Not too thrilled that I still have to pay $2.00 plus shipping to get the part. For the price of the glasses, it should be free!
I recently had a horrific accident where I went entirely over the handlebars, landing directly on my head and the left side of my body.
The impact was severe enough that I broke my collarbone in two places and fractured a couple of ribs. However, despite my head bouncing off the pavement twice, I walked away with absolutely zero head or neck injuries. No concussion, no trauma, nothing. The helmet took the entire force of the blow so my brain didn't have to. Looking at the damage to the helmet, it’s clear that it did exactly what it was engineered to do.
I do a lot of EMTB in Mammoth Lakes and there are loads of tall trees. Light comes and goes and with the Defender's the lenses changes so my visibility is always good. Something I think is important when riding.
