ImpactX® Photochromic Lenses
ImpactX® lenses are photochromic. This means they get dark from low to high light transmission within few seconds and reaching a custom color from an initial clear state. They enhance contrast, improve visual acuity and depth perception.ImpactX® lenses are 16% lighter than CR-39 and 10% lighter than polycarbonate; they have lower internal stress and chromatic dispersion than polycarbonate, resulting in sharper images, higher definition, reduces “rainbowing”, and more visual comfort.
Amazing! used them on my runs, bike ride and they are so stylish, colorful and exceptional!
Undeniably, with these glasses on, I'm 7% faster. I went on a ride wearing no sunglasses, on my computer bike (I'm legally blind, by the way), and was abhorently slow. Like, viciously, overwhelmingly slow. It was DISGUSTING.
Then, I put on the Spinshields. Holy--mother--of--god. My life has been forever changed. I strapped into my Quintana Roo PR6 (which you may see occasionally on my Instagram Influencer account, @triathletebenny (https://www.instagram.com/triathletebenny/)), put on the spinshields (without prescription, but with contacts on so I could actually see), and rode for 493 miles at 28mph. I feel like a freak of nature...which is probably how Sam Long feels every day of the week.
I couldn't recommend these glasses any more--they're undeniably, without a doubt, no questions asked: THE BEST glasses on the market.
Thank you and follow me on insta.
These glasses look cool, but literally do not stay on my head without a helmet or hat pushing down on them. The arms of the glasses are not straight so you cannot capture them under your helmet. They curve weirdly and spring up on your face if you don't have anything to push down on them.
The lenses are nice and big, but come up high on my forehead, sealing in all of the sweat and steam while I ride. By pushing them down my nose a bit they seem to breathe better. The final let down for these glasses was the little rubber insert on the ends of the arms of the glasses that catch my hair and rip it out every time I put them on or take them off. The inserts have gaps that don't allow for a nice glide over hair strands. I'll probably have to fill the gaps with some sort of glue so it stops pulling my hair out. Given all that, once they're on and held down by my helmet they work great, blocks the sunlight and look super cool. If you have a helmet that sits low on your forehead, these will not work.
