Another important innovation is the Fid Lock magnetic attachment system that goes beyond the standard Fastex System consisting of the classic snap buckle. A solution designed to be faster and safer and become a trend for future Rudy Project helmets. The compact magnetic industry-leading FidLock® buckle is intuitive, pinch-free and one handed use even wearing your gloves on. This reliable, comfortable and secure system ensures secure protection in a snap.
At Rudy Project we are committed to develop products aiming to the highest level of safety, exceeding the current requirements set by international Standards, such as the CE or CPSC norms. Today more than ever our goal is to go even further by overpassing the RP Rotational Impact Test.
This rotational impact test is an internal protocol adopted by Rudy Project, in cooperation with accredited and notified bodies, to test and measure the performance of the helmets against rotational impacts; it takes inspiration from CEN, from ECE 22.06 (a new standard for motorcycle helmets) and it is based on real accident data and scientific sources.
*This Rotational Impact test is a Rudy Project internal protocol to test and measure the performance of our newest helmets against rotational impacts. This test has not been adopted by CEN or by its Working Group CEN TC 158 / Working Group 11.
The Rudy Project Egos helmet is outstanding. The air flow and ventilation is superb for a hot summer ride. Excellent fit and comfort. The new magnetic FidLock® buckle is easy to open and close with one hand. I highly recommend this helmet!
Had a high speed crash and hit my head pretty good. Rudy Egos helmet was destroyed but my head was perfectly fine. Thank you Rudy Project for making a high quality helmet. Love this helmet the fit is so comfortable and it looks really good too!
I’ve been searching for a new helmet for a couple of years. Every helmet that I’ve tried is just okay. When I first put the EGOS on, it was a relief. Finally a helmet that just fit and felt great. The adjustability is amazing. So glad I purchased this! You won’t be disappointed.

I purchased the pacific blue matte frame with black photochromic Impact 2 lenses. The frame and lenses are fine. Where I'm not sold is the side coverage, and I am on the fence about keeping them. I'm only 5', with a 21.5" circumference head. My nose bridge does stick out pretty far, so most glasses have to sit far forward of my eye sockets. The angle of the wrap on the frame is good, but the lenses just don't seem to go far enough back on the sides. The photo shows how much of my eye socket is still exposed. I live in an area with a lot of wind, and having 40mph sustained winds with debris coming at me from the side on a run isn't fun. They are better than standard glasses for protection, but aren't enough to make me fall in love with them. Add the cost of the prescription inserts I'll need to buy and well... it's hard to call this a 5-star product, at least for someone with my head shape. Maybe there's another style that will fit better, but it's hard to tell just how far back the lenses go.
Hi Amy! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and providing such thorough feedback. We truly appreciate it. We understand your concern regarding the side coverage and we recommend adjusting the nose piece to allow the frame to sit closer to your face, which should provide more coverage on the sides. If you've already tried this and it's still not working, we suggest trying our new Astral Sphere shield, which offers deeper side coverage and allows for prescription inserts directly in the lenses. We're here to work with you and find the best solution. Thank you for considering Rydon and we hope to make your experience a 5-star one.
Just replaced my Sterling helmet with this one. Can’t be happier. I’ve had 3 Sterling helmets over the years and it was time to upgrade. Looks great and light weight. Feels faster. The only thing is that I wish it had the mesh net lining to keep the bugs, bees and pebbles out. The fit is good.
