I was hesitant about the purchase initially since the inserts and the Rx lenses were a separate cost from the cycling glasses , but my order was processed quickly and the customer service was great. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend this product to everyone. I had mixed emotions about the cost, but I love my purchase and what was gained from making this investment. Seeing what I have been missing almost brought tears to my eyes. For far too long I have been blind cycling and risking my safety and those around me. With that being said, I felt uneasy about the application fitment of my inserts into my new Defender cycling glasses. I had fears that the placement was off and wasn’t sure the inserts were secure. I was also confused by the additional lenses that my order came with that didn’t appear to be Rx. I really liked the fact that I can update my Rx inserts without having to purchase new cycling glasses. I have recently made a 52 mile ride test with zero issues. The inserts thankfully didn’t move or fall out. I experienced great vision and eyesight protection. I love that the lenses transition to the sun light and offer excellent performance and visibility.
The insert sits very close to your eyes but works well. The issue I have is the perscription does not seem to be the same as the new eye glasses I had made up using the same perscription.
Sports sunglasses with this type of Rx adapter are rare. A viable option if cost is an issue, or you want to switch out the tinted main lens, or have a need for a progressive/bifocal prescription. These fit the Defender well- they are quite a low profile (a concern when I ordered), and the Defender's nose bridge can be adjusted outward so they fit without eyelashes brushing the Rx lens, it however will push the glasses themselves a couple of mm further out. Still the fit is excellent. Rimless means that peripheral transitions fade to nothing.
The one concern I found is that I did need the help of a computer repair scribe to nudge the adapter into place.
