The goggle interface design has been engineered with a special Micro-Vent geometry allowing moisture and heat to be released from behind the lenses via dozens of small, vertical channels. The channels are small enough to prevent dust from getting in while presets have been integrated in the architecture to house foam filters or special membranes according to mission requirements, such as sand or chemical protection.
ImpactX® lenses are photochromic. This means they get dark from low to high light transmission within few seconds and reaching a custom color from an initial clear state. They enhance contrast, improve visual acuity and depth perception. ImpactX® lenses are 16% lighter than CR-39 and 10% lighter than polycarbonate; they have lower internal stress and chromatic dispersion than polycarbonate, resulting in sharper images, higher definition, reduces “rainbowing”, and more visual comfort.
I purchased the Rudy Project Agent Q sunglasses for my daily use, cycling adventures, and backcountry skiing trips, and they've exceeded my expectations in every aspect.
Daily Use: For everyday wear, the sunglasses are incredibly lightweight and comfortable. By removing the side shields and the goggle interface, I can easily transform them into sleek eyewear perfect for summer.
Cycling: During my cycling sessions, this sunglasses provides exceptional comfort fit. The lenses are optimized for different lighting conditions, giving me a clear view of the road ahead.
Backcountry Skiing: When winter hits and I'm heading into the mountains, the included accessories—like the side shields and goggle interface—are a game-changer. They offer added protection against wind, snow, and glare, turning the Agent Q into a robust pair of goggles.
The Rudy Project Agent Q is a versatile piece of gear that adapts to different environments effortlessly. Whether it's a sunny day in the city or a snowy mountain adventure, these sunglasses handle it all with style and functionality. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for adaptable, high-performance eyewear.
I’ve been using this since last four months. I previously used their Guardyan for nearly two years. This is top especially the lens. The protective sponge wears out after a while but the lens remains as it is. I’m using it for my motorcycle (Indian Chief Dark Horse) as I can’t use full face helmet for some reasons. Those who use open face helmets looking for riding glasses, these are the best, undoubtedly!
The Rudy Project Egos helmet is outstanding. The air flow and ventilation is superb for a hot summer ride. Excellent fit and comfort. The new magnetic FidLock® buckle is easy to open and close with one hand. I highly recommend this helmet!
I purchased the pacific blue matte frame with black photochromic Impact 2 lenses. The frame and lenses are fine. Where I'm not sold is the side coverage, and I am on the fence about keeping them. I'm only 5', with a 21.5" circumference head. My nose bridge does stick out pretty far, so most glasses have to sit far forward of my eye sockets. The angle of the wrap on the frame is good, but the lenses just don't seem to go far enough back on the sides. The photo shows how much of my eye socket is still exposed. I live in an area with a lot of wind, and having 40mph sustained winds with debris coming at me from the side on a run isn't fun. They are better than standard glasses for protection, but aren't enough to make me fall in love with them. Add the cost of the prescription inserts I'll need to buy and well... it's hard to call this a 5-star product, at least for someone with my head shape. Maybe there's another style that will fit better, but it's hard to tell just how far back the lenses go.
Hi Amy! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and providing such thorough feedback. We truly appreciate it. We understand your concern regarding the side coverage and we recommend adjusting the nose piece to allow the frame to sit closer to your face, which should provide more coverage on the sides. If you've already tried this and it's still not working, we suggest trying our new Astral Sphere shield, which offers deeper side coverage and allows for prescription inserts directly in the lenses. We're here to work with you and find the best solution. Thank you for considering Rydon and we hope to make your experience a 5-star one.
Just replaced my Sterling helmet with this one. Can’t be happier. I’ve had 3 Sterling helmets over the years and it was time to upgrade. Looks great and light weight. Feels faster. The only thing is that I wish it had the mesh net lining to keep the bugs, bees and pebbles out. The fit is good.
