Very stylish frame but I have to push glasses back all the time when I'm riding my bicycle because they are sliding forward . I tried to play with the bridge position and tension but it didn't help. What would be really helpful is if I could bend the arm's ends around ears to keep glasses steady. The frame is light and stylish and perfect for casual use but it's intented to be used for active sports and unfortunately that part doesn't work well. Kind of disappointed, considering the premium cost I paid for it.
I used it the first time at 66 miles Bike-a-thon in Philly. They were comfortable, covered lots of my face and super stylish.
I recently had a horrific accident where I went entirely over the handlebars, landing directly on my head and the left side of my body.
The impact was severe enough that I broke my collarbone in two places and fractured a couple of ribs. However, despite my head bouncing off the pavement twice, I walked away with absolutely zero head or neck injuries. No concussion, no trauma, nothing. The helmet took the entire force of the blow so my brain didn't have to. Looking at the damage to the helmet, it’s clear that it did exactly what it was engineered to do.
I do a lot of EMTB in Mammoth Lakes and there are loads of tall trees. Light comes and goes and with the Defender's the lenses changes so my visibility is always good. Something I think is important when riding.
