As a long time Rudy wearer, I somewhat recently reached the stage in life where glasses are a constant. I use progressive lens glasses. I wanted sports sunglasses and bought a pair of Agon’s with progressive lenses. They are so crisp and clear, each time I put them on (and I love my regular glasses) I gasp at how awesome they are. This winter I went hiking; the trail was a mass of ice. I slipped and my hiking pole did not hold me. It collapsed and I fell awkwardly to the ground…and quite hard.
My FACE crashed into a rock.
I sat up…and felt fine. Looking down at my Rudy’s, they were on the ground with one lens having popped out. I realized I had hit the rock with my Rudy’s. The lens served as a shock absorber. I picked it up and not even a scratch. Popped it right back in.
Finished my hike.
Call me a customer for life (and I have been wearing them since 1998).
This helmet is so lightweight and comfortable! My first ride was 45 miles in the open wind, I honestly forgot I was wearing it! Being an Ironman athlete, gear is everything! Long hours on the saddle can turn into literally a pain neck due to a heavy helmet. This helmet is a game changer! Highly recommend it!
I purchased this helmet and I really loved the feel and look of it, 10/10.
These glasses look cool, but literally do not stay on my head without a helmet or hat pushing down on them. The arms of the glasses are not straight so you cannot capture them under your helmet. They curve weirdly and spring up on your face if you don't have anything to push down on them.
The lenses are nice and big, but come up high on my forehead, sealing in all of the sweat and steam while I ride. By pushing them down my nose a bit they seem to breathe better. The final let down for these glasses was the little rubber insert on the ends of the arms of the glasses that catch my hair and rip it out every time I put them on or take them off. The inserts have gaps that don't allow for a nice glide over hair strands. I'll probably have to fill the gaps with some sort of glue so it stops pulling my hair out. Given all that, once they're on and held down by my helmet they work great, blocks the sunlight and look super cool. If you have a helmet that sits low on your forehead, these will not work.
