Built for extreme performance and unparalleled protection, the Racemaster is Rudy Project’s latest cycling helmet creation with an aggressive design. The new ‘Garage Eyewear Dock’ provides an innovative system to hold sunglasses at the back of the helmet, and prevents contact between the sunglasses’ temple arms and the user’s head. MIPS mimics the brain’s own protection system with a unique low-friction layer between the head and the helmet. MIPS is scientifically proven to reduce some of the energy from an angled impact from nine accelerometers in a Hybrid III crash test dummy head. The dummy head wearing a helmet was subjected to an angled impact using the MIPS test rig.

I got this helmet after my FIRST head injury ever while wearing a non-MIPS Rudy helmet. I loved it out of the box. It's comfortable and looks good. Not so sure about it's aerodynamics, but I do many different types of cycling. Thankfully I was wearing this helmet when I fell on some wet railroad tracks in a race in 10/21. You can see the imprint of the tracks on my helmet... But my brain was good. I'm totally sold on this helmet if only for safety. It saved my life!
I’ve been a fan of Rudy Project gear for many years and still wear their helmets and glasses all the time. After 53 Ironman and hundreds of races and events, I’ve had the chance to put my Rudy Project gear to test in the hardest conditions and can confirm they have always been great assets and reliable products. I really appreciate the Racemaster helmet. It’s aeration, in combination with the fact it protects the head against mosquitoes, makes it the perfect choice for riding and climbing. Recommending it to all my training partners!
I love Rudy Project helmets and have a number of them. The Racemaster looks great; however, compared to my other Rudy helmets, it is heavier. Because of this, I returned it. I’d rather have a lighter helmet and didn’t think I could get used to something heavier.
