This helmet is incredibly light for a MTB helmet and once you have it on you barely notice it. Most MTB helmets seem to feel bulky but this feels light and snug around your head.
It also looks good and has great airflow to keep your head cool on long climbs. Another feature I've noticed with this and my road helmet is that RP helmets almost seem designed for your sunglasses to fit in the front vents snugly so you can stow them on long climbs. Great helmet and value.
My helmet has expired, so I ordered one based on high praise from a friend. It arrived and wow. Well constructed, light and love the ability to pull the ratchet down to cradle the back of the head better. such a simple thing, but such a difference.
Had it on for all of 38 seconds and my wife is now telling me I should order one for myself.
No sooner did I get finished saying she's more than welcome to peruse the site and pick her own, my oldest daughter is poking my arm saying I should pick one up for mum as she's not getting this one back.
Suffice to say we're extremely happy with the fit, adjustments, weight and looks, as I've got three more on order and my brother just asked me what my girls are using for helmets this year. heh. Really, Really nice work on these buckets, folks. You will not regret the purchase.
I have been a Fox helmet man all my life. They were the only ones that seemed to fit my head right. Well, I needed to replace my helmet due to age and saw the Crossway. I liked the color, liked how it looked - like it had good air flow, and decided to give it a go.
Upon opening, the first thing I noticed was the weight. Man this thing is light! Like insanely light compared to the Fox helmets I've had. Next was trying it on. Straps looked easy enough to work with but I decided to just see what it felt like out of the box. Another sign! It fit perfectly with absolutely no adjustments needed except for the tensioner in the back - another huge plus! I couldn't believe it. The helmet literally fit perfectly right out of the box.
Fast forward to the first ride - a race! I didn't get the sweat flowing down my head into my eyes problem. In fact, the air flow is so effective on this thing, at the end of the race I could see the sweat stains on the outside of the helmet through the side, top, and back air holes where the air flow really was pushing all that heat out the back! AMAZING! I'm buying a second one as a spare.
