Amazing glasses and an amazing customer service

I had the exception glasses for almost 3.5 years now. I bought them for Mountain Biking. After few weeks I realized that I use them each time I leave the house. The flip is really useful not only for sport but for everyday usage. And for Mountain Biking it is amazing. Especially when you ride between sunlit areas and shaded ones. Since the glasses themselves sit tight and comfortable on my face I always take them to the gym ( without the flip part ), or for running. The best part is that almost every part that breaks you can replace without buying the whole glasses. My flip got scratched so I bought a new one ( and the RX lenses stayed with no need to replace them ). There was one part recently that the shop wasn't aware was replaceable. I got the quickest personal reply form rudy project USA team ( a BIG SHOUT OUT for Brian and Nick !!!! ) and they sorted everything out. Amazing above and beyond support I must say. In short really recommended glasses with the bonus of amazing and responsive people in Rudy Project team.

Probably over 15 years of frequent use, and still going strong

I've had these glasses for more than 15 years -- so long that the prescription is no longer quite up to snuff: going to the eye doctor soon to get it renewed, so i can update the insert on these glasses, and use them another 15 years.
I've used them biking, mountain biking, sailing, kayaking, paragliding, mountaineering, skiing... and just for everyday use. They are comfortable to my face (medium sized male noggin), stay put on my nose, with the possibility to squeeze the nose piece to fine-tune the fit.
I have progressive lenses in the insert, that worked very well for close-up as well as distance viewing.
I _really_ like the flip-up feature: as noted by others, critical when biking for instance, and entering a dark tunnel. I can flip up the outside tinted lens, and my eyes are still protected from the wind and insects etc. by the insert, i can still read maps, gps, etc. On looooong randonneur bike rides, i only need to take one pair of glasses, or i don't need to mess up with changing lenses in the evening and in the morning. When kayaking, I can flip up the tinted lens and get a clean view of my phone or gps.
After 15 years, i can feel that the ratcheting action is a bit less crisp than when new, but it still locks fine in the up or down position.
The lenses seem pretty durable: i've never babied them, i've lost them twice in the water, only for them to be found washed up on the sandy beach a day later, and i don't notice any scratches.

None better

72 year old cyclist. Been across the US twice and North to South 6 times on a bicycle. I found the Exception to be durable and dependable . They came in handy when I had to flip up the shades to read the map. And the option to easily change lenses on those cloudy days was great. I believe I been wearing Exceptions for nearly 25 years. I'm on my 4th set. If you take care of them they last. Stay Safe and Stay Upright, Bill
