The lightweight yet resistant RSR 10 adjustable retention system provides perfect personal fit. thanks to its wraparound structure and multiple micro-metric vertical and horizontal positions for the size adjustment.
In-Mold technology allows us to cast the external polycarbonate outer shell directly during the injection stage of the expandable polystyrene (EPS) impact-absorbing foam. The result is a much more rigid structure which is knock-resistant and extremely light, allowing for better ventilation system. The combined action of the EPS structure, the polycarbonate cap and exo-skeleton creates resistance to the mechanical action exercised by an impact and dissipates the energy in order to prevent it from being transferred to the head of the person wearing the helmet.
The airframe frontal padding minimizes the sweating process inside the helmet enhancing the air circulation and avoiding the release of unpleasant smells and ensuring the best level of performance.
Helmet's a great shape and I like the style. Padding is thin and small, center front pad is already coming apart after 3 months of use.
I've been buy Rudy Project helmets for over 2 decades.
This is one of the more expensive of the current lineup. So I like the security of the straps, they really don't move. Nice air-low, but that's a given on all of Rudy Project helmets that I've had.
So why only 3/5?
1. The color range. I ride when it's dark and really wanted a helmet with high visibility reflection. The white/silver was not as reflective as I expected.
2. There is no padding over the buckle so my skin gets a painful nip if I'm not careful. This was something on my previous helmets and I did not know how much I missed it.
3. The extra padding sent with the helmet is not very useful as you can't easily place it behind the mesh.
I would buy this helmet again, given the current range that is available, but that doesn't make me change my view.
Had it for a while already color doesn't fade fit is great airflow is perfect light on the head just a great buy totally recommend it.
I am a city/designated bike trail daily commuter in the Pacific Northwest so weather is a huge factor. I experience rain, fog, freezing temperatures, and sunshine. I start in pitch dark and return in light. I was highly impressed with the customer service rep who emailed me suggestions, links, best fit predictions and color choice that works best for city commuting (brown lens). I am a petite Asian American female so fit was a concern as well as needing a photochromic option. The Rydon Slim comes in so many options including many photochromic color choices. The ability to adjust nose pads as well as the frames is such a benefit. I could easily shape them to fit me well and stay on which has always been a previous issue for me. This week we hit 22 degree morning temperatures and even with a mask on to keep my face warm, I was really impressed how well these are ventilated to keep the glasses from fogging up. Wow! Unexpected and impressive as I thought for sure they would fog up. I have experienced rain and fog and these work so much better than any other glasses I have unfortunately wasted my money on before finding Rudy Project. The brown lens cuts down on glare from rain, lights and oncoming traffic in the pitch black mornings. And when I return home in the afternoons, I can count on the photochromic lens to provide UV protection for my eyes. I am biking about 1.5 hours total every day and these work exceptionally well. I am very impressed with the glasses, customer service and company.
After doing an aero optimized TT fitting, the easy winner for which helmet outperformed the rest across all positions tested was the Wing. Surprisingly light and incredible visibility are the *chefs kiss* icing on the cake for a winning package.
Vents well, changes color well. Doesn’t fit well. Slides off nose.
