comfy helmet

I first got a Sterling helmet 8 yrs ago when they had a deal on them. It's a very comfy helmet. my first one was a large as i have a 58cm head circumference. The S/M has a limit of 58.7cm limit. I thought I had better err on the L vs the S/M. So I went with the L.
I really liked the Sterling. it oozes high quality. There's nothing cheap feeling about it. Even the included visor and helmet bag.

I had gotten other road helmets from another brand in a M with the same size limit and they fit really well.
This summer I got the Protera in a S/M and it fit like a glove! So when there was deal on the Sterling I ordered it in the S/M and it fits way better than the Large.
The L was a bit sloppy. I had to cinch it down quite a bit. This S/M is terrific, feels secure, doesn't move around. I love it.
It does fit a bit different from the Protera, but this is a road helmet and it will fit different.
I still wear the L, but in the winter as I can wear a skull cap or balaclava.

Nice fitting but my faded quickly

Sterling helmet, great fit BUT my orange helmet faded quickly! When I called customer service I got the run around, not friendly at all and made me feel Like I was lieing about the fading. No commitment from company that they would replace or do anything. I bought this helmet because on a century ride I saw another rider with the Sterling orange and really liked how it showed up for safety. After going back home from the ride I ordered the helmet. But after a short the helmet faded. At the time I had the helmet less than year and I have two other helmets I wear so I don’t wear the Sterling on each ride. I now mainly wear the helmet on evening rides. Again, this is a very comfortable helmet but I was very disappointed in their customer service! I think after spending this much on a helmet it should not have faded this badly in less than one year.

Sterling Helmet da bomb

I have worn this helmet for years and wear a new one every year. It’s super comfy, light and looks good. I particularly like the flashy colors because it helps to be seen when on the roads. Worth your money!

Chin strap failure

Love the helmet fit and looks but the chin strap does not stay tight. I've tried everything except glue and it keeps coming loose. Does the same on my wife's helmet. Never had a helmet where the chin strap adjustment would not stay in place. If not for this I would rate the helmet a "5".
