Here at Rudy Project, we take pride in the accomplishments of all our athletes, from all backgrounds and at all ability levels. Each month we will showcase one of our “BRO” athletes who is an amateur competitor doing amazing things on and off the race course. Learn about this month’s star(s), Ryne Hoover and The Mohawk Foundation, below:
Started by Ryne Hoover in 2014, The Mohawk Foundation is a growing nationwide group of athletes of all ability levels who use their love of endurance sports, like triathlons and marathons, to raise money and awareness for charitable causes. The group’s tagline “We race for breast cancer, We roll for ALS” says everything you need to know about their mission, to eliminate breast cancer and ALS once and for all, and they have partnered with The National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Blazeman Foundation for ALS to achieve these goals. With the continued support of outstanding sponsors like Rudy Project they will continue to grow and fight for others in 2017!
To celebrate the successful completion of their second season, TMF is holding a huge year end giveaway. For a $20 fee per ticket you will be entered to win part of over $1,000 in prizes and discounts, including a Rudy Project prize package, a Transition backpack from Xterra Wetsuits, one of 2 $50 gift certificates to TriSports.com and much more! The proceeds from the contest will be used to cover the group’s costs to become a 501(c)(3) recognized charity, with any extra funds being split between The National Breast Cancer Foundation and The Blazeman Foundation For ALS, their charity partners.
