FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Arnhem, Netherlands – For the second consecutive day, Rudy Project athlete Marcel Kittel of the Etixx – Quick-Step Pro Cycling Team swept the sprint during Stage 3 of the 99th Giro d’Italia. Kittel is now the first German to wear the pink jersey in over a decade as he leads the overall General Classification, as well as the Sprint Classification, heading into Stage 4.
Kittel took charge of the Giro from the beginning, earning a top 5 finish in the Apeldoorn time trial. He followed this solid performance with two consecutive wins during Stage 2 and 3, putting him in the overall leader’s jersey. Kittel’s outstanding finishes were a product of the whole Etixx – Quick-Step team, who put him in perfect position to unlease his unmatchable accelaration and take the sprint victories.
Wearing the Rudy Project Tralyx performance sunglass, Kittel’s finesse, strength, determination, and uncompromised vision powered him to the line ahead of fellow sprinters. With numerous accolades such as Triathlete Magazine’s “Best in Fit,” Ultra Running Magazine’s “Most Innovative,” and a perfect 10 out of 10 score from Cycling Active Magazine, the Tralyx is the top choice for pros and amateurs alike.
Catch Marcel Kittel and the whole Etixx – Quick-Step team wearing the Rudy Project Tralyx as they battle for glory over the 21 stages of the Giro d’Italia.
