Are You Adventure Racer Tough?
How are you at running through the woods–sans trail? How about biking technical single track after 2 days without sleep? Adventure racing is TOUGH! This sport not only pushes your body, but also your mind and team skills to the max, and Rudy Project’s Journey Adventure Racing Team is about to push themselves the furthest and hardest they’ve gone yet.
The team has completed some insanely dedicated race prep, including setting new course records on the Niwot Challenge and several regional podium race finishes already this year. Journey has reached the TOP 10 teams in the Nation, but they have their biggest race before them: The Cameco Cowboy Tough 4 day Adventure Race (July 14-17, 2016).
This race is a Worlds and Nationals Championship Qualifying race and will pit Journey Racing against some of the best teams in the world. For 4 days straight teams will trek, mountain bike, canoe, and whitewater across some of the wildest miles in Wyoming. The teams who endure heat, sleep deprivation, team dynamics, and avoid getting lost and complete the course with the most accrued checkpoints will win. Intense!
Most teams will celebrate just finishing, but these top teams are going to be duking it out for a win. Keep up with Journey Racing and catch live tracking of the event on their Facebook page.

The Unstoppable Andy Potts
A photo posted by cannondalepro (@cannondalepro) on
Can anyone stop Andy Potts? This Rudy pro has been on fire as he took the title at IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d’Alene AND IRONMAN 70.3 Vineman. We’d also like to recognize our other athletes with notable finishes at these races, including Heather Jackson who won the women’s title and Josh Amberger and Ellie Salthouse who both come in 2nd at Coeur d’Alene! Tim Reed, Sam Appleton, Jennifer Spieldenner, and Emily Cocks who all finished in the top 5 at Vineman. Congrats everyone!
With Le Tour de France making headlines, we felt it was only appropriate to share the Kerosene frame with same iconic yellow color of the leader’s jersey. Too bad these aren’t on e-rudy.com, but the Tralyx sure is!
From across the vast internet to right in our own back yard, here are some of the coolest photos, videos & stories that have been shared with us lately. Most of them, sent to us from people just like you, Rudy Project fans! Take a moment if you haven’t already, and connect with us on social media – keep sending us your photos, videos & stories – we’ll be sure to share them with the world!
