Denver, CO – Rudy Project, the Official Sunglass of Etixx-Quick-Step Pro Cycling Team, is proud to announce that the team has proven their absolute dominance in the cycling world as they currently lead the General Classification standings in two of the most prestigious cycling stage races in the world: the Giro d’Italia and the AMGEN Tour of California.

As the 2015 runner-up, Julian Alaphilippe began Stage 3 of the Tour of California ready for redepmetion. Arguablty the most difficult stage of the race’s 2016 edition, Alaphilippe crushed his competitiors up Gibraltar Road, a 12 kilometer ascent averaging 8% grade. The 23-year-old made his attack in the last 800 meters, and won the stage with strength and ease. Alaphilippe now leads the General Classification with a 19-second advantage heading into Stage 4.

Looking overseas, Bob Jungels finished the 11th stage of the 2016 Giro d’Italia in 3rd place, earning him another day in the coveted pink leader’s jersey. Jungels snagged the lead in the General Classification from his own teammate, Gianluca Brambilla, after Stage 10 and became the first Luxembourg rider in 57 years to lead the race. Along with Jungels and Brambilla, Marcel Kittel was also in pink for the first two days of the race, making it a total of three Etixx – Quick-Step riders to wear the “maglia rosa” for 5 total days in this year’s edition of the Giro.

None of these presitious victories would be possible without the overwhelming teamwork of the Etixx –Quick-Step riders, or the uncomprised vision provided by the Rudy Project Tralyx performance sunglasses. With numerous awards, such as a perfect 10 out of 10 score from Cycling Active Magazine*, and innovative features, such as the unique PowerFlow™ anti-fog system, the Tralyx is quickly becoming the #1 choice for cyclists everywhere.

*Cycling Active tested the ten pairs of glasses in the sun, then during increasingly wet and windy autumn and winter rides. The sunglasses were also paired with a number of road and mountain helmets to get a feel for how each felt with different lid set-ups, and were taken off road to see how they each handled the mud. Each pair was ranked on a scale of 10, with the Rudy Project Tralyx being the only sunglass to obtain a perfect score over eyewear like the Oakley Radar EV Path Polarized and the Bollé 6th Sense.
